What If?

The “what ifs”.

They are sneaky, pervasive and plentiful.

Especially when you have experienced something traumatic.

“What if I had gone another way home, what if I hadn’t said those hurtful words, what if I had made a better choice.

Did you know the what if’s can haunt you even when things turn out okay?

You nearly had a head on collision and your mind will still bring up the what if’s even though you are unscathed.

It’s very difficult to stay out of the rabbit holes of what if’s and there is nothing good to find there.

So when those nasty “what if’s” show up in my head space I kindly ask them to leave for I am blessed beyond measure and have no time for them.
